Our History

The quest for a College of Education in the Akyem Oda Diocese of the Methodist Church emanated from the 1950s when devout Church members at Akyem Swedru advocated for the establishment of a seminary. The idea caught the eye of some members such as Mr Isaac Odei and Mr J. O. Appiah. They provided structures for the establishment of the seminary which became the Freeman College where Catechists of the Methodist Church were trained.

Our Vision

The College shall be a unique and innovative, professional education and training provider with a research focus.

Our Mission
